Stemming

Stemming is the best way to target high grade wood in the forest industry without damaging the log. Primarily done in steep ground, we start by limbing and topping the tree. We then cut the base of the stem with a method called jigging. Jigging prepares the stem to be flown out of the setting without ever hitting the ground never incurring damage. Using this method lessens the impact on the surrounding environment and produces a higher quality product.
